Consumer, industrial, medical, military electronics: As electronic devices and sensors get increasingly embedded in everyday objects, their power storage needs to shrink to match. By removal of the bulky packaging in the PowerWrapper products, the limitation on densification and packaging of energy is removed.  

3D Printing: With a 3D printer in every home and on the industrial production floors in the near future, new products that could only be imagined will be manufactured in a truly digital, distributed production setup.  The PowerWrapper’s custom inks and designs will be incorporated into one or many structural layers of any object, integrating energy anywhere, everywhere. 

Transportation: The company’s prototypes have demonstrated mechanical integration with advanced composite material parts and panels - multi-function materials can reduce systemic weight and cost in light urban vehicles.

These first ultracapacitor-based  products are useful for filling the pulse power gap in applications, allowing designers to choose energy dense batteries that are cheaper, smaller and lighter, while managing the power through an integrated PowerWrapper. Rethinking energy storage for a greener solution in certain applications, one may replace traditional batteries that are too heavy or need frequent replacement (adding to landfills) with a PowerWrapper, that can recharge in seconds for hundreds of thousands of cycles, lasting for the life of the product, and delivering enough energy for each application of the product.
